Each year, summer provides a much-needed opportunity to take a breath, take stock of the past few months and evaluate changes for the seasons ahead. After an unusual year that is now behind us, this summer gives us the chance to reexamine our work, reassess our goals and rearrange our priorities. It is a season of rebirth for all of us, at SitusAMC and beyond. And we’re using this time to our advantage.
When the COVID-19 pandemic took hold last year, we adjusted course to keep our employees and communities safe. In doing so, we discovered new ways of working together that inspired us. As we move forward into this next chapter, we want to hold on to what we learned and integrate some of the bright spots from that unusual year into our usual lives. The neighbor you picked up groceries for during the pandemic? Make checking in on them a normal part of your routine. The coworkers you bonded with during virtual team events? Keep those relationships strong with a standing lunch date. As the world makes a triumphant return to normalcy, we are choosing to prioritize the lessons we learned. Because going back to how it was is not how we move forward.
At SitusAMC, we are pouring our resources into the bright future ahead, laying the groundwork for new and improved methods of working. Employee expectations for work have changed and we’re committed to providing the support and policies our team members need, now and going forward. Here’s how we’re doing that.
Increased Paid Time Off
We have done away with the usual tier system of earned PTO and have expanded our time-off policies for employees across the board to ensure everyone can take time to recharge.
Charity Match Fund
We believe we have a responsibility to the communities in which we work and live. To that end, SitusAMC recently expanded our fund to match employee charitable donations furthering the impact we can have as a collective whole.
Diversity and Inclusion Council
We recognize that our associates live around the world and we have a responsibility to ensure they feel reflected throughout all levels of the company. As global citizens, promoting diversity and inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. We established this council to help bolster our diverse workforce and champion our global communities.
One major takeaway from the pandemic is that prioritizing health and wellness is non-negotiable. The goal of our upcoming Wellness Programs is to help our employees take time for self-care both during and outside work.
